The SEMO Chapter is having their 8th annual Wappapello Lake foray. Wappapello Army National Guard Site; 461 County Road 517; Wappapello, Missouri 63966, GPS36.900391-90.294442 Hopefully we have had plenty of rain, and mushrooms are abundant. Its amanita season and chanterelles, black trumpets, summer boletes are very abundant
The Army training site is EXCELLENT. The air-conditioned adult barracks sleep 36, tent camping right outside the barracks. Showers, ice on the station. Quick drive to the lake for fishing/swimming. No formal kitchen there are refrigerators, and a household range. We are setting up grill campfire cook set up, electric plug-in appliances, hotplates, pans, utensils, we should have everything you need to cook just bring food to share. Along with our normal forays, we will be having a float foray.
