FORAY: Hatton, MO

Join the MOMS foray on Sunday, April 30 at 10:00 a.m.! This foray will explore a private property near Hatton, MO with major creek frontage (meaning a possibility to find morels!). We’ll be surveying the area for general mushroom biodiversity, while keeping our eyes out for spring edibles like morels, dryad’s saddle, wood ears, and oyster mushrooms. Afterwards, foragers are invited to enjoy a meal of wild-edible soups and such in the farmhouse. This property is not particularly challenging but there are a few steep places and enough thorns to make you wish you were wearing a heavy pair of shoes, pants and gloves.

The exact foray location will be provided to the registrants the week before the foray.
