FORAY: Hatton, MO

This foray was originally scheduled for April 28 but was canceled due to extreme weather. It has now been rescheduled for Sunday, April 28, at 10:00 a.m.! This foray will explore a private property near Hatton, MO with major creek frontage. We’ll be surveying the area for general mushroom biodiversity, while keeping our eyes out for early summer edibles like chanterelles, black trumpets, boletes, and chicken of the woods. Afterwards, foragers are invited to enjoy a meal of wild-edible soups and such in the farmhouse. This property is not particularly challenging but there are a few steep places and enough thorns to make you wish you were wearing a heavy pair of shoes, pants and gloves.
