From the President ...
For millennia, Man has been intrigued by the mystery, the beauty, and the unveiling of the incredible value of fungi whose mycelia form one of the most sophisticated networks below the surface of the earth and gift us with countless arrays of fruiting bodies that we call “mushrooms”.
The Missouri Mycological Society promotes awareness of “everything fungi”: learning about edible and non-edible mushrooms, studying the characteristics and classifications of mushroom species, providing mushroom certifications, and above all, offering opportunities for fun social activities including weekend camping forays, and attending conferences as well as speakers series and festivals. As a non-profit organization, our mission is focused on enriching our community and the environment.
So, come and join us; adventure awaits!
Our club is open to all individuals interested in learning about fungi. You are welcome to browse our Earthstar quarterly newsletter to familiarize yourself of our activities.
